Mean Opinion Score

« Back to Glossary Index

Mean Opinion Score (MOS) is a subjective measure of voice quality in VoIP services, evaluated on a scale from 1 (poor quality) to 5 (high quality). This KPI provides a quantifiable measure of call quality based on user perception. Telecom providers target an MOS of 4 or higher to ensure clear, high-quality voice calls that meet user expectations.
